Know Before You Go!

There is a lot to do and see when visiting Grand Canyon National Park, plan your trip out ahead of time and avoid the stress! Below is important travel information and policies:

Lodging Info. & Policies

Check-In: 4:00pm Arizona Mountain Standard Time
Check-Out: 11:00am Arizona Mountain Standard Time.

Payment Policy: The first night stay is due at time of booking. The remaining balance is due at time of arrival.

Deposit Policy: A deposit equal to the first night’s room charge plus applicable taxes is required for each room at the time of reservation.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations/changes made less than 72 hours prior to 4:00 PM local time on arrival date will forfeit the full deposit.

Reservation Changes: Dates of stay for a reservation may be changed based on current availability. Your reservation is subject to a new rate for new dates of stay. Any changes made to your reservation may result in a rate change and payment due upon arrival.

Extra Person Policy: All room rates are based on double occupancy. Additional person charge of $15.00 per night per person over the age of 13.

Pet Policy: Service animals are permitted on property. All other animals are not allowed.

Smoking Policy: Smoking is permitted outside at designated areas.

WiFi: Public WiFi available at the North Rim General Store only


Accessibility

Parking
At the Grand Canyon Lodge, there are 2 accessible unloading parking spaces at the main entrance of the lodge. There are also accessible lifts to access the restaurant, Auditorium, and Sunroom. We also offer ADA accommodations throughout our cabin options.

Porter Service
We have porters available to transport you and your luggage from either the Lodge or Parking areas to your cabins and back. If you call the front desk at (928-638-2611) or (0) from your cabin the Porters will transport you to and from the Lodge, Restaurant, Deli, and Gift Shop. NOTE: Cell phone coverage is very limited in the area.

Building Accessibility
Accessibility into the Main Lodge Lobby and Deli are through the front doors from the Lodge circle drive.

Access to the Gift Shop and Coffee Shop/Saloon is gained by using the walkway that runs North of the Gift Shop. This walkway continues behind the Gift Shop and then runs through the breezeway to the Coffee Shop.

The Main Lodge Lobby is where you can access the Restaurant, Auditorium and Sun Room. From the Sun Room there is access to the East Veranda. Access to all three of these areas is by three different lifts. Please contact our staff at the Host Stand or Front Desk for assistance with operating the lifts.

Cabin Access
Western Cabins

Four of these cabins are ADA accessible. Two of the ADA cabins have one queen-sized bed and full bath with bars, and two have one queen-sized bed and a roll-in shower.

Pioneer Cabins

Two of these cabins are ADA accessible. The ADA rooms are a one-bedroom unit with one double and one twin bed. They accommodate three people.

Frontier Cabins

We have two Limited ADA Accessible Frontier Cabins that have one double bed and one single bed.


Cell Phone Service

Cell phone reception is limited at the North Rim.


Shuttle Services

Shuttle services will be running once a day from the Grand Canyon Lodge at 6:00 am.


Gas Stations

The closest gas station to the Grand Canyon Lodge is located on the entrance road into the campground. Both gasoline and diesel fuel are available within the park. The pump is a 24-hour pay pump, for credit and debit only. The gas station is open if State Route 67 is open.


South Rim

The South Rim is accessible by driving or hiking. The drive is approximately 5 hours long, 210-mile trip. The hiking trail is approximately 21 miles long, which takes 2-3 days.
