Grand Canyon National Park is one of America's most awe-inspiring treasures, welcoming over four million visitors annually. Carved by the mighty Colorado River over the course of six million years, this geological wonder stretches 278 miles long and towers with dramatic cliffs averaging 7,500 feet in elevation. Its layered beauty holds not only a staggering variety of ecosystems, but also stories that echo through its stone walls and starlit skies.

Recognized Revered Remarkable of Grand Canyon Lodge - North Rim Arizona

Recognized. Revered. Remarkable.

The North Rim’s recorded history began in 1776, when Spanish explorer Father Escalante first marveled at its forested cliffs—nearly two centuries after settlers discovered the South Rim. Long disputed between Utah and Arizona, the North Rim officially became part of Arizona upon its statehood in 1912.

Just a few years later, in 1919, the Grand Canyon was designated a National Park and has since been recognized as both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an International Dark Sky Park—continuing to inspire awe, adventure, and discovery for generations.
